One of the best things about modern technology when it comes to food is how we’ve learned to use it to keep food longer, especially when it’s out of season.
Lassi is a traditional Indian drink made with yogurt and spices. It’s very easy to make.
You can find mangoes in the frozen section of your grocer.
I’m changing the recipe up a bit, but the inspiration is still there.
Ingredients
1 cup yogurt of your choice
1 cup mango (about 1 mango cut from the stone)
1/2 cup milk of your choice
ground cardamom (if you have it)
ground pistachios (optional)
Add mango, yogurt, and milk to container and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass, sprinkle with cardamom and pistachios, if desired.
Variation: Substitute a banana for the yogurt and orange juice for the milk.
