How do you break your fast each morning?
I usually start my day with a glass of warm or hot water. Yup, plain warm or hot water.
Sometimes I’ll add a little lemon or apple cider vinegar.
It’s a great way to wake the digestive system up and get the liver going.
(TMI moment: nothing like a good poop to start the day!)
Then I might have a cup of tea, depending on what kind of time I have.
But, on those days when I wake up later than I’m supposed to or there’s just too much going on, this breakfast drink is the best start to my day.
This recipe calls for tea and needs to be prepared in advance, although one of these days I’m going to try and see what this tastes like warm.
I try to make a batch of tea every few days, although lately it’s become a last thing before bed ritual.
You’ll need:
1 cup cold Yogi Tea brand Classic India Spice
1 cup milk of your choice (I use plain or vanilla almond or coconut milk)
1 banana
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass and drink!
Some times, I’ll add a few tablespoons of hemp seeds.
Yogi Tea Classic India Spice tea is essentially chai without black tea and milk (chai literally means tea). So if you want to make a lovely cup of chai, brew both the India Spice with black tea and add milk.
What do you drink as part of your breakfast?
